Development Manager

Regular Full Time, Exempt, Salary
Larimer Humane Society’s Development Manager engages in the planning, budgeting and evaluation of all annual fund raising activities to build support and awareness of the Organization’s mission, programs and achievements.  The position includes both program and personnel management responsibilities with direct reports including the Events and Development Coordinator and the Development Associate.  Areas of responsibilities include annual giving program management, prospective donor management, and estate planning management.  This position also manages a portfolio of corporate, foundation and individual donors and takes a leadership role in donor retention.  Assists the Director of Development and Community Relations and the Executive Director in board support, training and development.   Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or four years of equivalent experience; a minimum of three years demonstrated large event management and coordination; a minimum of one year personnel supervisory experience; a minimum of one year database analysis and management experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.  Fluency in Raiser’s Edge and Chameleon software is a plus as is capital campaign experience.  The position reports to the Director of Development and Community Relations.  
Salary range begins in the low 40’s and may be negotiable commensurate with experience.   Closes when filled.

Marketing and Community Outreach Program Manager
Regular Full Time, Exempt, Salary
The Marketing and Community Outreach Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Society’s marketing, public relations, social media and advertising efforts. Provides and oversees the development and production of all written and electronic collateral and marketing communications including but not limited to: website (serves as webmaster), electronic, print and social media. Uses cross-channel marketing whenever possible. Establishes and maintains media and advertising relationships, including but not limited to television, print and internet publications and outlets. Serves as primary media spokesperson and/or prepares senior management as appropriate. Creates annual plan and budget for marketing and community outreach initiatives. Plans and implements adoption promotions and national humane campaigns and serves as a member of the Society’s emergency response team. Engages in the research, planning, implementation and evaluation of all community activities necessary to build awareness of Larimer Humane Society’s mission, vision, programs, services and achievements in the community. The position reports to the Director of Development and Community Relations.
Salary range begins in the 30’s and may be negotiable commensurate with experience. Closes when filled.
Accounting and Licensing Assistant
Full Time (40 hours), Non-Exempt, Hourly
Reporting to both the Director of Finance and the Licensing Supervisor, the Accounting and Licensing Assistant position works within the Finance Department one-third of the day and within the Licensing Department two-thirds of the day. Accounting clerical assistance includes preparing daily deposits, entering daily cash receipts into the accounting system, processing accounts receivable and accounts payable, preparing and mailing weekly check runs, maintaining cash receipt and account payable files and other general accounting clerical activities. The position’s licensing assistance responsibilities include performing data entry of rabies vaccination and license information, answering phones and assisting the public with questions and processing animal licenses by telephone and website, processing license confirmations and preparing for mailings, colleting completed license forms and fees from off-site vendors as required, processing and sorting department mail, assisting with bulk mailings, performing cash balancing and maintaining department files. The general work schedule for the position is Monday through Friday with occasional weekend and evening assistance at special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business need. Animal Protection and Control Officer
Regular Full-Time (40 hrs), Non-Exempt, Hourly
Animal Protection and Control (APC) Officer positions at Larimer Humane Society are full-time, 40 hour per week, jobs responsible for enforcing State, County and City codes and ordinances governing animal control functions (e.g. field enforcement, licensing, animals at large, animal bite investigations, etc.) including animal handling and constraint. The positions also perform the duties of an Animal Control Dispatcher. Officers represent the organization in a professional and courteous manner at all times. This position requires learning a wide range of policies, procedures and processes quickly and includes a significant amount of field work and animal handling. Minimum of one year animal care, welfare and/or handling. clerical skills and math skills; able to read and interpret ordinances, ability to prioritize duties and multi-task within a busy work environment. Ability to relate information to the public and officers in a concise, clear manner. Ability to work in direct contact with aggressive, injured animals. Previous enforcement and/or dispatch experience desired. Computer skills required and knowledge of Chameleon software helpful. The work schedule is generally 8 to 10 hour shifts, includes one weekend day per week and is subject to change. On-call overnight shifts are required as are holiday shifts. Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings. Living arrangements within 30 miles of the Shelter due to on-call duties. Hiring range begins at 12.15 per hour and may be negotiable commensurate with experience. Closes when filled.

Client Services Representative (Full-time and Part-Time)
Regular Full-Time (40 hrs) or Part-Time (20 to 24 hrs), Non-Exempt, Hourly
Client Services personnel represent Larimer Humane Society in a professional and courteous manner and provide quality client service at the Shelter’s front desk. Requires learning a wide range of policies and procedures and the ability to quickly learn specialized software and enter complete and accurate data into the computer system. The work includes processing animal adoptions, animal returns to owners and animal surrenders, and involves physical animal handling. Client Services positions, both full-time or part-time, generally include at least one weekend shift. Please indicate days and times of availability in cover letter.
$10 per hour. Closes when filled.


Larimer Humane Society conducts criminal background checks, DMV checks and requires drug testing of employment candidates. Employees must be a minimum of 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
