Veterinary Technician
Part Time (20 hours), Non-Exempt, Hourly.
Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for a part time Veterinary Technician position. Our Veterinary Technicians provide clinical and administrative support for the Shelter’s Veterinary Services department. Major responsibilities include assisting with the surgical program including induction and intubation of surgery patients; maintaining accurate records; performing basic animal assessment and triage; administering treatment and medications as needed; performing dental cleanings and more. The position requires a minimum of 1 to 2 years previous work experience in a veterinary clinic and/or animal shelter clinic.  Surgical assistance and proficiency with intubation, IV catheter placement and IV injection techniques is also required. This is a part-time position with PTO (paid time off) accrual benefits. Weekend and holiday shifts will be required. Please indicate days and times of availability in cover letter. Hiring range for non-certified techs begins at $10.87 and at $11.45 for certified techs. Rate may be negotiable commensurate with experience.

Marketing and Community Outreach Program Manager
Full Time (40 hours), Exempt, Salary
Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Marketing & Community Outreach Program Manager.  This is a full time, salaried, exempt position reporting to the Director of Development and Community Relations.  The position is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Larimer Humane Society’s marketing, public relations, social media and advertising efforts. The Marketing and Community Outreach Manager also engages in the research, planning, implementation and evaluation of all community outreach activities necessary to build awareness of Larimer Humane Society’s mission, vision, programs, services and achievements in the community.  Requirements include a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in marketing/public relations/community relations.  Minimum of three years in marketing, media and public relations.  Minimum of one year experience in customer service, project development and management, website management and social media coordination.  Proven ability to write persuasively and positively interact with all age groups.  Experience with Northern Colorado media and business environment preferred.  Animal or environmental welfare experience helpful.  Experience with emergency communications a plus.  Applicants must be willing and able to work a varied scheduled including weekends and evenings as required. Volunteer Program and Humane Education Coordinator
Full Time (40 hours), Exempt, Salary.
Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for our Volunteer and Humane Education Coordinator position. The position reports to the Director of Development and Community Relations and is responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating all aspects of Larimer Humane Society’s volunteer program to assist in the delivery of the Organization’s programs and services. The position is also responsible for planning and overseeing the design and implementation of the Society’s youth and adult Humane Education programs and for ensuring programs adequately represent the Society’s ideology and policies. Volunteer program work comprises approximately 75% of position time. Requirements include a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in volunteer management, education or public relations ; a minimum of one year experience in volunteer management, education, public relations and event planning; a minimum of one year supervisory and customer service experience; proven public speaking and project management experience and more. Applicants must be willing and able to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends as required. Please indicate date of availability and salary expectations in cover letter. Hiring range for the position starts in the is high twenties to low thirties and may be negotiable commensurate with experience.
