Is your service club or company interested in volunteering at Larimer Humane Society? Larimer Humane Society's special group service projects allows clubs, service groups and corporations the opportunity to build valuable team-building skills while lending their time and expertise to a great cause - helping Larimer Humane Society in its quest to promote and provide the responsible care and treatment of animals.
Groups interested in completing a service project at our shelter will first meet with a member of our Community Relations team and receive an overview of Larimer Humane Society's programs and services. From there, your team will roll-up their sleeves and get started on a very special project for us at the shelter.
Projects vary by season and day, but examples include painting our shelter walls, washing the windows at the shelter, cleaning various rooms at our shelter, stuffing our dogs' KONGS with kibble and peanut butter for a special treat, and conducting yard work.
No animal handling will be permitted. Our volunteers that work with our cuddly (and not cuddly critters) are are required to go through our regular volunteer orientation and complete their animal-handling training certification.
If your service club or company is interested in completing a group service project at Larimer Humane Society, please send us an email with the following information, and a member of our Community Relations team will respond you within 48 hours:
